Dr. Sara Velez received her Bachelorās degree in Exercise Science from the University of Delaware where she threw the javelin on the Delaware Track and Field team. From there, she completed a dual-degree program at Seton Hall University where she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy and Master of Science degree in Athletic Training. She is also a Certified Lymphedema Therapist from the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy.
Dr. Velez has been a treating clinician for 15 years and has worked with various populations and age groups in orthopedic and sports medicine settings, including Kessler Institute in the Traumatic Brain Injury unit, University of Georgia āBulldogsā Division I football team, the New York Giants, and various orthopedic outpatient clinics in the tri-state area. Dr. Velez also has expanded her manual skill set through attending continuing education courses, such as myofascial techniques, including myofascial cupping with Rocktape. As a back pain sufferer herself, she has dedicated her career to helping those who suffer from chronic pain live an active lifestyle.
She believes that with the right state of mind and proper biomechanics there is nothing you cannot do in life. Dr. Velez is a student of the teaching of Dr. Stuart McGill and is currently undergoing training in McGill method, as well as frequency specific microcurrent.
