Common Causes of Back Pain

It can be very difficult to get through life without injuring your back at some point. Between desk work, driving your car, cell phone usage, involvement in sports and activities, or a physical career, the spine can easily be exposed to injury mechanisms. But back pain does not have to be a life sentence. Physical therapy and acupuncture are common treatments for chronic back pain and back related pain.

At CAMISA PT & Sports Rehab, we use many successful and effective treatment tools to rehabilitate back injuries. The foundation of our treatment is the McGill Method, developed by world-renowned spine researcher Dr. Stuart McGill, PhD.

Identify Contributing Factors & Find Relief

Our physical therapy program for back pain involves identifying the mechanical cause, removing pain triggers, and improving posture, stability, mobility, strength & endurance.

We utilize all of our CAMISA techniques to relieve pain and restore function: physical therapy, patient education, manual therapy, exercise, acupuncture, frequency specific microcurrent, myofascial decompression, and more. The specific methods used will vary from patient to patient as no patient is exactly the same.

At CAMISA, we also offer certified fitness trainers who help athletes train with the proper form and techniques to help avoid injury.
